ANXIETY & STRESS

WHEN YOUR MIND WON'T SLOW DOWN.

Anxiety and stress can show up in many different ways. You may feel overwhelmed, tense, distracted, restless, or like your mind is always thinking about what could go wrong. Sometimes it can be hard to know where to begin. We will take the time to understand what is happening, what has been difficult for you, and what you would like to feel different. Together, we can find practical tools that work for you and your everyday life.

WHAT ANXIETY CAN FEEL LIKE

SOMETIMES IT FEELS LIKE YOUR MIND NEVER TURNS OFF.

Anxiety is not always obvious. For some people it feels like constant worry. For others it may look like irritability, perfectionism, avoiding certain situations, difficulty sleeping, or always feeling like something needs your attention.

Stress can also build slowly. Work, school, relationships, parenting, family responsibilities, or major changes can leave you feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or like there is always something else you need to manage.

HOW THERAPY CAN HELP

WE'LL WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE THINGS FEEL MORE MANAGEABLE.

We will start by talking about what has been happening and how anxiety or stress is affecting your life. Together, we can look at what may be contributing to those feelings and find practical ways to manage them. The goal is to give you tools you can use outside of therapy, when you need them most.

Understand What Is Happening

We will look at when anxiety tends to show up, what may be contributing to it, and how it is affecting your everyday life.

Build Practical Tools

We will work on strategies you can use when you feel overwhelmed, worried, frustrated, or unable to slow things down.

Feel More Confident Managing It

Over time, the goal is for you to better understand what you need and feel more confident using the tools that work for you.

WHO WE WORK WITH

ANXIETY CAN AFFECT ANYONE AT ANY AGE.

We work with children, teens, adults, parents, couples, and families. Anxiety can look very different from one person to another, so we take the time to understand what you are experiencing and what is happening in your life. We meet you where you are and work from there.

Children & Teens Worry, school stress, perfectionism, social anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and changes at home.
Adults Work stress, relationships, life changes, chronic worry, burnout, and feeling overwhelmed.
Parents & Families Support understanding anxiety, improving communication, and helping children feel more secure and confident.
Couples Support when anxiety, stress, or outside pressures are affecting communication and connection.
OUR APPROACH

THERAPY SHOULD FIT THE PERSON.

Everyone comes to therapy with different experiences, needs, and goals. We do not believe there is one approach that works for everyone. Your therapist will take the time to get to know you and use approaches that make sense for what you are experiencing and what you hope to work on.

CBT Helps you notice unhelpful thought patterns and practice new ways of responding.
DBT-Informed Skills Practical tools for managing emotions, stress, and difficult situations.
EMDR May be helpful when anxiety is connected to difficult or overwhelming experiences.
